This is a personal, non profit guide for the Canadian Camper and visitors to Canada. We have enjoyed camping for many years and have finished terms as Wagonmaster and Treasurer for the 'Parkland Jays' Chapter of the Good Sam Club in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. Janet is currently Social Convener for the Jays. Happy camping in 2009! Roy and Janet Schmaus, December, 2008 |

Features: Alberta Provincial Parks - This page consists mostly of
reports on Alberta Provincial Parks that my family and I have
camped in,or had friends camp in. If you have been in a park here
that you especially liked, please email Roy & Janet Schmaus and
I will add your report with a credit line,if you wish. ...
"Trekking to Varsey" Trip
Log : The Revelstoke Centennial Homecoming - Revelstoke, British Columbia is a special place
for Janet and me. Janet has fond memories of growing up in view of
Mount Begbie in Revelstoke. I remember waiting for her at the altar
of the big Aluminum roofed United church on Mackenzie Avenue in
1969. A trip through the mountains for the 1999 Centennial
homecoming invitation had to be included in our vacation plans. Winter
Camping- This section is a supplement to my camping page
mainly as a source of information to those who may be considering
Winter camping. Many of the Provincial Parks here in Alberta remain
open with primitive camping facilities during the winter, charge
low or zero fees in the off season, and usually have some groomed
cross country ski trails or ice fishing available. ... A Visit to Fort Edmonton- Once a year the dedicated
volunteers and staff of Fort Edmonton pull out all the stops for
their annual Harvest days festival. ... The
Parkland Jay's Excellent Adventure- A very unofficial
account of the Parkland Jays Good Sam Club's first ever camp out on
the 1998 Victoria Day long week end. © 2008 - 2009 by Roy Schmaus |
